This policy explains what information TheRigBoss Inc. ("TheRigBoss," "we," "us") collects through therigboss.com and the TheRigBoss shipper and driver applications (the "Platform"), how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. Name, email, phone number, city, and whether you join as a driver or shipper.

Driver verification. For drivers: driver's license details, DOT and MC numbers, and insurance certificates, used to verify operating eligibility.

Shipment information. Pickup and delivery addresses and contacts, load details (contents, weight, equipment type), digital Bill of Lading records, and any photos attached to a shipment.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive transaction records, but full card numbers are held by Stripe, not stored by us.

Agreement records. When you accept our Terms of Service or a role agreement, we record which documents you accepted, the version, the date and time, and your IP address, as proof of agreement.

Location information. Pickup and delivery addresses for every load; for drivers, location during active hauls when tracking features are in use.

Device and usage information. IP address, browser and device type, and pages or screens viewed.

Communications. Messages you exchange through the Platform and with our support.

2. How We Use Information

We use this information to run the marketplace: matching loads with drivers, processing escrow payments, and generating Bill of Lading records; to verify driver eligibility (license, DOT/MC authority, insurance); to keep proof of accepted agreements; to prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and keep the Platform safe; to send transactional messages about your loads and account; to provide support; and to improve the Platform.

3. How We Share Information

Between the parties to a load. Shippers and drivers see the information about each other needed to complete a load — for example, a shipper sees the driver's name, rig, and status; a driver sees pickup and delivery contacts and addresses.

Service providers. Stripe (payments), Supabase (data hosting), and Cloudflare (website delivery) process data on our behalf.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of users, the public, or TheRigBoss.

Business transfers. If TheRigBoss is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in sessions and preferences. We do not use third-party advertising networks.

5. Retention

We keep your information while your account is active. Transaction records, Bills of Lading, and agreement-acceptance records are retained after account closure as business and legal records.

6. Security

We use encryption in transit and restrict access to personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.

7. Your Choices

You can access and update your account information in the app or by contacting us. You may request deletion of your account and personal information; we may retain records we are required or permitted to keep (such as transaction and agreement records). You can opt out of marketing messages at any time; transactional messages are part of the service.

8. Children

The Platform is for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above will change, and we will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice.
